Exploring Spatial Transcriptomics and Innovations

Owen Genomics is dedicated to uncovering the cutting-edge science of spatial transcriptomics, sharing expert insights and fostering curiosity in the ever-evolving world of computational biology.

Owen Howard, a native of Durham, North Carolina, developed a passion for science and technology at a young age. Frequent visits to institutions like the Chicago Field Museum and the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of Natural History helped cultivate his deep interest in both biological and computer sciences.

Currently, Owen is pursuing a degree in Computational Biology at Florida State University, where he combines his love for data, biology, and technology to explore the frontiers of biomedical research. He is especially interested in how computational models can be applied to better understand complex biological systems and contribute to solving real-world problems in health and medicine.

Outside of academics, Owen is an avid supporter of Florida State athletics. Whether it’s football, baseball, or basketball season, he’s a regular presence at Seminole sporting events, embracing the energy and pride of FSU campus life.

Owen aims to leverage his interdisciplinary background to make meaningful contributions in fields such as genomics, neuroscience, and disease modeling, helping to push the boundaries of what’s possible through science and computation.
